INRatio®
The top-selling INRatio® monitor is a diagnostic point-of-care
system that provides prothrombin time (PT) and international
normalized ratio (INR) results using fresh capillary whole blood
from a fingerstick.
The INRatio® system helps oral anticoagulation management (by
helping maintain the effect of anticoagulation therapy within the
therapeutic range), is easy to use, and features on-board quality
controls with every test. The monitor performs the PT test and two
quality control tests (normal and therapeutic) simultaneously, and
determines whether the controls are within preset limits. Test
results are displayed in less than two minutes (as an INR only, as
PT seconds and INR, or as INR, PT and QC- whichever the user
prefers) thereby allowing dose adjustments face-to-face.
Recently introduced is the INRatio®2 monitor, designed for
PT/INR patient self-testing at home. The INRatio®2 system allows
frequent and simple tests for oral anticoagulation management,
which combine ease of use with reliability of results. This means
the patient and the doctor have more data and a clearer picture of
PT/INR levels over time. This additional information can be used by
the physician for more timely adjustments to anticoagulation
therapy.
